Building Resiliency: Scott Chesney
(all students and interested parents)
The issue of dealing with stress has become a significant one for the residents and students of Allendale. The confluence of various climate conditions led to the redesign of our character education program. The first theme outlined for this year is “Resiliency.” The framework for the plan currently has several key components. First, the idea of resiliency is introduced by a motivational speaker, Scott Chesney. This serves as a kick-off activity, and provides a shared event to start discussions. This speaker has been seen by several staff members and comes very highly recommended. There are three shows, K-3 at Hillside, 4-8 at Brookside and one parent show.
