Animals and Habitats (1st)

 

In conjunction with the first grade science and writing curriculum, students are learning about animals and habitats. “Outragehiss Pets” conducts a one hour program showing numerous live animals. Students learn why the rain forest and deserts are an essential part of our ecology and why their preservation is so important. Six animals are introduced and the exhibitors share where these creatures can be found within a habitat, as well as adaptions these animals have to survive in those environments.
