CREATIVE WORKSHOPS

 

The Creative Workshops Grant has been a fabulous and enriching addition to the fourth grade curriculum. This cart, which has more than 20 different activities and projects, allows students to choose what interests them, and then explore the activities independently or in small groups.

It's exciting to see how much the class enjoys the time they have to work on this, and how much time they spend actively engaged in the activity/project. At any given time, students are creating a water filtration system, learning how to draw comic strips, creating models using LEGOS and K-NEX, and solving very tricky brain teasers.

In a time when the school day is very busy with specific units of study, this maker space cart gives children the ability to work on things that truly interest them in a relaxed environment!
