Teaching Ancient Civilization Through Text Sets (5th)

 

This grant involves the utilization of a variety of high quality and engaging picture books that will encourage greater immersion into the world of ancient history that tends to be abstract and difficult for fifth graders to grasp.   Using engaging illustrated texts lends itself to a variety of literacy strategies that enhance existing skills and content within the curriculum.
