Through hands-on professional development workshops, collaborative consultations, and online learning, the Playworks Pros will teach our playground, PE, and mental health staff and paraprofesisonals to use practical skills that tap into the power of play. Through play, reflection, and discussion, participants learn the importance of play and how to lay the foundation for creating a safe and healthy environment for our children. Playworks core insight is that safe and healthy play can support any child's positive development. By creating opportunities for inclusive and active play, our staff can tap into our students' intrinsic motivation to have fun while making cognitive social, emotional, and physical gains. Recess Implementation is their most popular program to begin transforming recess and improving school culture. It is a program designee to create an inclusive and healthy environment for students and staff. The interactive learning builds strong knowledge around games and develops skills such as managing transitions, resolving conflicts and building systems that promote better recess time. A trainer returns to our school four to six weeks after the initial training to consult with the recess team to help them continue to build on the improvements made.
