The FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL®) general meeting has been changed to Tuesday, September 22nd.

The FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL®) is coming to Brookside for 6th-8th graders!

The FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL®) introduces young people in grades 6-8, to the fun and excitement of science and technology while building self-confidence, knowledge and valuable career and life skills.

In FLL, children are immersed in real-world science and technology challenges. Teams design their own solution to a current scientific question or problem and build autonomous LEGO® robots that perform a series of missions based on an annual theme. Through their participation, children develop valuable life skills and discover exciting career possibilities while learning that they can make a positive contribution to society.

Interested students should join Ms. Maguire for a general interest meeting on Tuesday, September 22nd at 3:30 in Room 23 at Brookside to get more information about the Fall, FIRST® LEGO® League robotics season!

Law Adventure Program

The award winning Law Adventure program is back for a second year!

In this program, students participate in a statewide competition through the NJ State Bar Foundation. Students develop and write an original case, including creating the facts, witness statements, concepts and relevant laws. If their case wins, as it did last year, they are given the amazing opportunity of presenting the case in front of a retired judge and jury of their peers at the NJ Law Center!

Please join Ms. Baier for a general interest meeting on Monday, September 21st directly after school in room #21 to get more details on this exciting mock trial competition which is open to 6th-8th graders.

Linked Checking Accounts Aid Educational Foundation

TD Bank's Allendale branch manager Joe Chinnici presents members of AFEE with a $1,740 check from the TD Bank Affinity Program. AFEE is able to raise additional funds when people with current TD Bank accounts, or who open new TD Bank accounts, "link" their accounts to AFEE. TD Bank makes an annual contribution based on the average balances of all the AFEE linked accounts.
